I am committed to this obligation. This takes precedence in everything I do. I have lived in this Village for 22 years and have been an active part in it in many ways. This beig said, shows my experience and diligence of the past 8 years of being a Trustee for the Village. I do this because I truly believe in our Village of Hoffman Estates and the place I call home. What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Taxes such as sales and property are appropriate for the Village. This takes into account the spending and saving is within the budget. Although everyone's wish is less taxes, certain spending is necessary to continue the high level of services within the Village. As a side note, our Levy is flat once again for this budget year.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns? Our Fire Department goal is achieving the 6-minute and under rule for emergency calls. Our Police Department is conscientious and has personnel who go above and beyond the call of duty. We are prepared for the next generation to come with the Fire Department Station 24 and Police Department both being built LEED green and also continuously being on top of newest developments in this technological world. Have no safety concerns.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Our budget is balanced and is conservative in spending. The Village is always seeking grants, which we have been awarded several thru initiatives in Sustainability, Fire Dept., Police, Transportation, Health Human Services and many others. What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?If there was such a thing as unlimited funds, I would like to see it spent on needs of seniors and those who have needs. To see more programs and resources benefitting them without duplicating any existing services. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office? The main issue would be in keeping the budget balanced without losing sight of the importance of services such as Fire/Police/Public Works/Health Human Services. Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Candidate did not respond. What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Candidate did not respond. If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?Candidate did not respond. What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Candidate did not respond. If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Candidate did not respond.
