Rauner points finger, has few solutions

In addition to teachers, public service workers, unions and Democrats, our new governor also blames the Supreme Court for Illinois' fiscal problems. But, I don't see any solutions. It's easy to criticize and point fingers. And much more difficult to come up with realistic solutions.

Of course, wealthy politicians who pay a $100,000 for a bottle of wine don't accept recommendations to raise revenue if it adversely impacts their rich pals. Instead of advocating a graduated income tax and a transaction tax, Rauner is trying to cut his way to solvency. You can read about how well this approach has worked in Greece, Spain, Italy and in Kansas.
