Arbor Day events in Round Lake:

Celebrate Arbor Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 3, at the Round Lake public works/police facility, 751 W. Townline Road, Round Lake. The event will proceed rain or shine and feature a presentation with questions and answers about the emerald ash borer, caring for and the importance of trees. Seedlings will be planted and there will be activities for children, as well as free popcorn, cookies and juice. Families who complete a quiz will get a free tree, bush or plant. Call (847) 546-5400.
