Elmhurst Resident Demonstrates Healing Touch Techniques

Elmhurst Native Teaches How to Boost Natural Healing

(Feb. 17,2016) - Elmhurst native, Mary Sinclair, a Healing Touch Certified Instructor, recently conducted Level 1 Healing Touch Training at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

"Healing Touch is a gentle, energy-based approach to health and healing," said Mary Sinclair, Healing Touch Certified Instructor. "During Level 1 training, participants will learn how the human energy system relates to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health."

The two-day training was open to all levels of health practitioners and interested lay people.

The course includes principals of self-healing, assessment of energy field and centers, location and function of the chakras, and legal and professional aspects of touch therapies.

The practice of Healing Touch has been integrated in over 40 hospitals, and is taught in over 30 countries. Level 1 begins with 16-18 continuing education credits for nurses and massage therapists.
