Wisconsin mother accused of trying to poison sons
MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee mother is accused of trying to kill her two young sons with an overdose of medication.
Twenty-six-year-old Fallon Thomas is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Prosecutors say Thomas gave 15 pills of her prescription medication to each of her sons, ages 4 and 8, on March 26.
WTMJ-TV reports a criminal complaint says Thomas then called 911 and said she had intentionally given her children too much medication and was "sending her children up to God."
Paramedics arrived and rushed the children to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
The complaint says Thomas gave her sons ziprasidone (zih-PRAZ'-ih-dohn) hydrochloride, a drug used to treat schizophrenia. Court records do not list an attorney for Thomas.
