Learn everything about tomatoes at Smart Farm programs

Smart Farm of Barrington will conduct tomato programs in June and July.

The first, Tomato Trellis Saturday, will take place from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 13. Come to the Smart Farm to learn about different tomato trellising methods and how to build them.

The second, Totally Tomato Saturday, will take place from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 18. There is nothing better than a juicy tomato and Smart Farm will demonstrate mulching and pruning techniques to use on your tomato plants to help achieve a great tomato harvest.

Both programs will take place at the Smart Farm gardens and hoop house on the Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Campus, 450 Route 22, in Barrington.

There is no charge, but reserve your spot at www.smartfarms.org.
