Retired and senior volunteers sought

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program and Foster Grandparent Program are hosting a senior volunteer recruitment fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Avon Township office, 433 E. Washington St., Round Lake Park. The senior volunteer program is a "placement service" for those 55 and older to share experience, skills and talent. The grandparent program connects seniors with children for mentoring at schools, day care centers and Head Start programs.
