214@100: Estampida at RMHS gets kids involved early

Incoming freshmen at Rolling Meadows High School have a great opportunity for a head start: Estampida, a summer camp formed by the school to encourage co-curricular and academic involvement with the knowledge that engagement can boost students' overall success. Under the guidance of teacher sponsors, Latino freshmen are introduced to school athletics and clubs and given opportunities to volunteer within the community. Nearly every student involved in the group during the 2012-2013 school year signed up for a sport or club.
