Golf at night to raise funds for Des Plaines camp scholarships

The Friends of the Des Plaines Park District is hosting its second annual Golf In The Dark fundraiser Aug. 29 at the Lake Park Golf Course.

Proceeds will benefit the park district's scholarship fund, which this summer helped pay for more than 50 kids to attend summer camp.

The evening will feature nine holes of Glow Golf on the Lake Park course, dinner, a silent auction, raffles, prizes, and a post-event party at Tap House Grill in downtown Des Plaines. The event costs $50 per person, or $180 for a foursome. For more information, visit dpparks.org.
