Candidate meets goal to explore, enjoy

Sierra Club Valley of the Fox is proud to announce our endorsement of Rick Guzman for Mayor of Aurora.

Sierra Club's motto is "Explore, Enjoy, and Protect."

Rick's vision for Aurora is to explore all of the ways that we can make Aurora a more sustainable and environmentally friendly city - from creating new, green jobs through renewable energy and energy efficiency programs, to better recycling programs and restoring our historical landmark buildings instead of tearing them down.

He will help us enjoy our city even more, by making it greener and healthier, with open spaces, improved bike trails, and thoughtful transportation oriented land development that can bring us all outside, for recreation and to build our community.

And he will protect our water and our air, with more rain gardens and cleaning up the polluters that are along the river. He will protect our air with cleaner city vehicles and clean green energy. He will protect the future for our children and our grandchildren by making our city more sustainable and resilient.

Rick has the experience to know how to make his vision come true. He has proved that he knows how to make Aurora a greener, more sustainable city, and Sierra Club is excited and looking forward to working with him to explore, enjoy, and protect our beautiful city.
