Don't blame teachers for pension mess

We teachers work hard to earn our pensions. For over 30 years, I paid 9% of every paycheck into the Teacher Retirement System (TRS).

Since 1940, teachers and districts have paid in 100% of their required contribution to TRS.

Teachers are not eligible for Social Security.

Do not blame teachers for the pension problem!
