Kid President makes Naperville a stump stop
A presidential campaign rolls into Naperville when Kid President 10-year-old Robby Novak and his brother-in-law Brad Montague present "Kid President's Guide to Being Awesome" at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Anderson's Bookshop, 123 W. Jefferson Ave., Naperville.
The brothers-in-law plan to give a kid-friendly program, followed by the opportunity for fans to buy specially stamped copies of the book, available only to event attendees.
In addition to the bookshop presentation, the event includes the local launch of Kid President's latest initiative, "Book It Forward." Bring a copy of a book that you love - or purchase one at Anderson's at a 10 percent discount - and take your photo with a blowup poster of Novak and Montague.
Anderson's will give all donated books to those in need. Fans can then post the photo online with the tag #BookItForward to help Kid President reach his goal of 10,000 book gifts. Books purchased from Anderson's will get priority for the #BookItForward photo.
From YouTube sensation (75 million views and counting) to Hub Network summer series star, Kid President Robby Novak and his videos have inspired millions to dance more, to celebrate life, and to throw spontaneous parades.
As he announces in his "Kid President's Guide to Being Awesome," "This is life, people! You've got air coming through your nose! You've got a heartbeat! That means it's time to do something!"
In his 240-page, full-color "Guide to Being Awesome," Kid President pulls together lists of ideas to help the world, interviews with his celebrity friends (he has interviewed Beyoncé), and a step-by-step guide to make pretty much everything a little bit more awesome.
