St. Peter Lutheran School wrestler takes second in state

Hoffman places 2nd at IESA State!

St. Peter Lutheran School 8th Grader Alex Hoffman has spent the last 3 months wrestling with MacArthur Middle School through the schools' co-op program. All of Hoffman's hard work paid off in a big way as he placed 2nd at the IESA State Wrestling meet at Northern Illinois over the weekend. Wrestling at the 105 weight class, Hoffman won his first 4 matches before losing in the championship. This accomplishment highlighted a season that included winning the individual Conference and Regional championship while helping his team win both those meets. He then placed 3rd at Sectionals finishing the season with an amazing 36-9 record. Congratulations to Alex on his outstanding efforts!
