Springfield has its own mess to clean up

I found myself talking back to my Daily Herald the other morning when I read the Democrats in Springfield were going to "take over audits of community colleges ..."

I heard my mouth say, "Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!"

Those Springfield denizens of the fine order of finances surely can help those nasty community colleges with their procedures.

Democrats can't get anything done for the state, so, what the heck, let's investigate those nasty community colleges.

Now, I get the College of Dupage thing, but hey, Springfield, the fire is burning where YOU are. Keep focused on the flames licking at your backside.

The people are sick and tired of your method of operations, so mind your own mess. Now, get back to work!
