Recycling, shredding event:

An electronics recycling and document shredding event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Lake Villa Township Hall, 37908 N. Fairfield Road, Lake Villa. Residents are invited to bring their old TVs, computers, monitors, printers and other electronics, and also documents that need to be shredded. The event is sponsored by Lake Villa Township, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County and State Rep. Barbara Wheeler.
