Suburban sports bars add Cubs playoff specials to roster
Suburban sports bars have thrown their share of postseason Blackhawks bashes in recent years. But cheering on the Cubs in October? In a heated pennant pursuit? That's a whole other ballgame.
In fact, a few bar managers say the Cubs' win over the Cardinals caught them by surprise and they haven't worked out their game plan for the next round of the playoffs. Still, here's a sampling of what some suburban bars are doing to cheer on the Cubs:
Bake's Sports Theme Restaurant & Bar, 33251 US 45, Grayslake (847) 223-3430, sportbar.net: During Cubs playoff games, the bar will offer $1.99 Rolling Rock pint drafts and Harp bottles for $3.25. Kids younger than 12 accompanied by adults receive free kids' meals. All 28 of the bar's TVs will be tuned into the game as well.

Game drink specials include 23-ounce Miller Lite and Coors Lite for $3.75, $4.95 mini pitchers, $3 16-ounce Old Style beers and $3 apple pie shots. If the Cubs make the World Series, the bar will raffle off a trip.
