Grain higher, livestock lower
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for March delivery was 8.50 cents higher at $4.7560 a bushel; March corn was up 1 cent higher to $3.7120 a bushel; March oats were 2.50 cents higher at $2.3760 a bushel; while January soybeans lost 3 cents to 8.8920 a bushel.
Beef lower and pork were lower the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
February live cattle was 2.95 cents lower at $1.2868 a pound; January feeder cattle was 2.25 cents lower at $1.5848 a pound; February lean hogs lost .18 cent to $.5898 a pound.
