Carrie Underwood to headline New Year's concert in NYC

NEW YORK - Get ready to ring in the New Year with Carrie Underwood.
ABC announced Wednesday that the country star will perform a number of her hits during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest" in New York City's Times Square.
The bi-costal event will also include Fergie, who will host the Billboard Hollywood Party. Jenny McCarthy will report live from Times Square.
Underwood released her fifth studio album, "Storyteller," last week.
More performers at the New Year's concert will be announced at a later date. The special, which airs live, starts at 7 p.m.
