Redesigned Pleasant Run Park now open

On Thursday, June 12, Wheeling Park District held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the recently renovated Pleasant Run Park.

Located south of Hintz Road on Equestrian Drive, the 4-acre park features a new asphalt pathway looping the perimeter of the park and a 28-foot diameter shelter structure to service both the playground, athletic field, and open space.

The 13-year-old wood playground equipment was replaced with bright, new play pieces and synthetic playground safety surfacing.
