Classic car show in Mundelein benefits food pantry

A car show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Grand Dominion in Mundelein will benefit the Fremont Township food pantry. The 7th annual Cruisin' with the Classics will feature more than 120 classic cars, including the Batmobile courtesy of the Volo Auto Museum. Car registration is at 8:30 a.m. and there is no fee. The event also features contests, prizes, a disc jockey, bouncy house, balloon maker, face painter and food and drink from local restaurants. The free show is at the Lakeside Lodge parking lot at Grand Dominion, 3555 Grand Dominion Circle, just south of Route 176. Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food and school supplies as donations. Call (847) 566-2403.
