No one injured by garage, woods fire in Wayne Sunday

No one was injured by a grass fire in the 33W 500 block of Army Trail Road in Wayne late Sunday night, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 7:39 p.m., authorities said, and discovered the outside wall of a garage had caught fire.

Firefighters also found winds had caused the fire to shift to a 2-acre heavily wooded area nearby, authorities said.

The garage fire was extinguished immediately, authorities said. The fire in the wooded area was snuffed out about an hour later, authorities said.

No injuries were reported, officials said. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
