Duckworth series sent inspiring message

I wanted to thank you for running the series of articles on Tammy Duckworth's military career and her remarkable recovery from horrific war injuries. Her strength and courage are extraordinary and an inspiration for so many others. I also want to thank the Daily Herald for showing courage in publishing this excellent series in the face of the hostility and rage directed toward any Democrat by many of your readers' letters. If only we could move beyond this destructive cycle of bitterness. I hope that Tammy Duckworth's story may have helped a little.
