District 50 band performs:

In anticipation of the upcoming Winter Olympics, members of Woodland Middle School’s Symphonic Band 1 have been invited to perform at the opening day ceremonies celebration at Rink Side Sports Ice Arena at 12:15 p.m., on Feb. 1, 6152 Grand Ave., Gurnee, a news release said. Students will play for approximately 20 minutes preceding a skating exhibition featuring three to four Olympic-hopeful skaters. They will play several patriotic songs, concluding with the Star Spangled Banner.
