Woodland using Facebook as a tool
Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50 plans to use Facebook as part of its social media effort. Officials announced Monday they want the https://www.facebook.com/WoodlandDistrict50 page on Facebook to promote community engagement. Scheduled to go live Tuesday, the page will feature general information from the district, updates from the schools, photos, news releases and more. "We have an appreciation for the power of social media and its impact on how we communicate," Superintendent Joy Swoboda said. "Having successfully launched a Twitter page five years ago, we are hopeful that this tool will allow Woodland to further engage with our stakeholders and promote news about the district."
