Van crashes into building in Naperville; 2 hospitalized

After it collided with another vehicle, a van struck a condo building in Naperville Wednesday afternoon, sending two people to the hospital, fire officials said.

Two people were pulled from the van after the crash, which happened on the 1000 block of North Mill Street about 2:45 p.m., and taken to Edward Hospital with unknown injuries, Naperville Captain Mark Chmura said.

Another person from the other vehicle refused medical treatment at the scene, he said.

Engineers assessed the structural integrity of the condo building after the crash and determined it to be safe. Chmura described the damage to the condo building as minimal.
