Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is that?The county has a culture rich in political cronyism, nepotism and corruption. The county government has absolutely no means of ensuring accountability and lacks any credible entity for investigating political corruption. Employment opportunities are scarce and small business expansion is non-existent. County property taxes are the fourth highest in the state while housing value is extremely low. I want to bring attention to all these issues and correct them.What differentiates you most from your opponents in the race?I am not beholden to any of the establishments career politicians. I have a very unique perspective on how this county is being run and who is controlling our tax monies. I am not afraid to challenge the longtime politicos who have used county government to the benefit of their friends and families.If you are an incumbent describe your main contributions. If you are not an incumbent, tell us what contributions you would make.N/AWhat should McHenry County be doing to address stormwater and flooding issues throughout the county?The McHenry County Stormwater Management Ordinance is over 100 pages long. It is a perfect example of bureaucracy for the sake of bureaucracy. The ordinance itself has to be addressed as well as taking a long hard look at the Fox Water Way Agency. The budget of that agency has increased dramatically over the past ten years but what has been significantly accomplished?Finally, is there anything we haven't asked about that you feel we should know?I am part of a movement that is sweeping the McHenry County Republican Party. It is time to take this County, State and Country from the career politicians and give it back to the people. Movements like this start right here in our communities.
