Cardinal George public services next week; burial to be in Des Plaines

The Archdiocese said Friday that public services for Cardinal George will be held next week at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State St., Chicago.

Public visitations will be held on:

• Tuesday, April 21, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.

• Wednesday, April 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, to 7:30 a.m. Thursday, April 23.

A Funeral Mass will be held at noon Thursday, April 23 with attendance by ticket only. A 7:30 a.m. prayer service Thursday will be open to the public.

Immediately after the Funeral Mass, the Committal Service will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, the Archdiocese said.
