Randall Road reopens in Elgin

Two separate accidents Monday afternoon closed Randall Road between Royal Boulevard and Big Timber Road in Elgin for about two hours, police said.

One accident involving a dump truck was reported at 2:01 p.m. at the southwest corner of Randall and Big Timber, and the second accident was reported at 2:11 p.m. south of that intersection along Randall Road, Cmdr. Colin Fleury said.

Two people were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries, Fleury said.

The road was closed at about 2:35 p.m. and had reopened by 4:25 p.m., police said.
