Prescription drugs disposal event Sept. 28

On Sept. 26, the Hoffman Estates Police Department will collect unwanted and unused prescription pills from residents, including controlled substances which have not been previously accepted by the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County. Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are partnering on the collection, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hoffman Estates police station, 411 W. Higgins Road.
