Hoffman Estates hosts flu clinics

Hoffman Estates will host a series of flu clinics in the weeks ahead.

This year's vaccine promises to be a closer match for the H3N2 strain still circulating from last year.

An adult flu clinic will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 1. Appointments are recommended.

A children's flu clinic will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5. Walk-in only.

A baby flu clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 13. Appointments are required and only Hoffman Estates residents are eligible.

The location for all three is Hoffman Estates village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. For reservations and more information, call (847) 781-4850.

The cost is $10 for children 6 months old to 18 years, and $25 for adults. Cash, checks, AllKids and Medicare Part B are accepted.
