One person hurt in Naperville crash

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night on Ogden Avenue in Naperville, authorities said.

Emergency responders were sent to the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Fort Hill Drive at 8:17 p.m. for the automobile accident, according to Captain Mark Chmura of the Naperville Fire Department.

Authorities said a Silver 2003 Jeep Cherokee driven by 32-year-old male and a maroon 2005 Toyota driven by 18-year-old male collided at the intersection.

Authorities said the initial investigation shows the Jeep was westbound on Ogden then turned left in front of the Toyota which was eastbound on Ogden.

The driver of the Toyota suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The second driver refused medical assistance at the scene.

Paramedics originally called for a medical helicopter to assist, but later called it off, Chmura said.

Diana Bolsakova, who lives near the intersection, said she could hear the impact of the crash from her house. Her friend was on the road just a car away from the accident when it happened, she says

The accident remains under investigation, authorities said.
