Lowly beagle paid for bad judgment of humans

An untrained dog bit several people on several occasions. Whose fault is that? The humans

The dog was hidden from the city by the owners. Whose fault is that? The humans

The city came to a decision to resolve the issue. Who was punished for the situation? The dog

The city of Hawthorn Woods killed the dog. If there was no one who would have taken the dog, then maybe that could be justified. Some guy said he would take the dog and keep it on his property away from other humans. Life without parole, if you will. Hawthorn Woods said no, we want to kill the dog.

It was not a 200-pound mastiff or a pit bull or a crazed, large German Shepherd. It was a beagle!

The solution was simple. The beagle should have been given to someone under the requirement that it must be trained by a professional for a time to be decided by three dog training professionals. If the professional trainer deemed the beagle could not be trusted, then it could be confined to the taker's home and yard as part of the requirement or it would have to be put down.

There was someone if not several people that were ready to do that. The city said no, we want to kill the dog. And they did.

If they couldn't figure out the obvious way to take care of a poor beagle, then what decisions do they make for humans? Those who were involved should all step down or be fired because they are obviously not smarter than a beagle.
