Bartlett police issue citations in truck enforcement initiative

The Bartlett Police Department, in a joint effort with state police and the Department of Transportation, issued five citations in a truck enforcement initiative Thursday on Devon Avenue near Leiseberg Park.

Police conducted the initiative from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Bartlett police cited two commercial motor vehicles for overweight violations, two commercial motor vehicles for disobeying road weight restriction signs and one commercial motor vehicle for spilling its load on the roadway.

State police also put four commercial vehicles out of service for safety violations.
