All is bright in Tri Villages
All three of the Tri-Villages held their holiday tree-lighting ceremonies Friday night.
The Bartlett Chamber of Commerce and Bartlett Park District put on their ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m., beginning with Santa at the Log Cabin in Bartlett Park and ending with the tree lighting.
Hanover Park's event kicked off at 6 p.m. at the village hall, with Santa arriving shortly after to flip the switch. Entertainment followed. Streamwood's annual Luminaria and Christmas tree-lighting took place at 6:30 p.m. at the village hall. Park Boulevard and the municipal campus were lined with lights, the Streamwood Choral Society sung holiday tunes, and dancers from Starlight Dance Company performed.
Beatrice Foster, 7, of Bartlett, receives candy from Valorie Proce, also of Bartlett, Friday night at the village's annual tree-lighting. Hanover Park and Streamwood also held ceremonies Friday.
