Snow gives Palatine tree-lighting a holiday feel

Santa Claus got some help from Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz to light the village's holiday tree Saturday night at Towne Square in downtown Palatine.

The Palatine Children's Chorus performed before the ceremony; afterward, Santa visited with children in the gazebo in the middle of Towne Square.
