Renz center provides training for behavioral health professionals
Behavioral health professionals are invited to attend the Illinois Council on Problem Gambling's Northern Illinois Chapter Meeting and Training from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Renz Addiction Counseling Center's Two American Way facility in Elgin.
CCET Connections President Margo Bistow will present the training portion of the program which will include a visual and interactive demonstration of Agenda Mapping. Training also will utilize person-centered techniques to create a pictorial process of treatment planning. Throughout the program, participants will engage in group work and role-play situations.
Margo Bistow has a master's degree in counseling psychology from Lewis University in Romeoville, and is a substance abuse and problem gambling counselor. She has been working with adults, teens and their families for more than 25 years.

Renz Center provides a continuum of care dedicated to the prevention, intervention and treatment of addictive behaviors related to alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Services range from prevention programs for youth in the schools to outpatient treatment programs for adolescents and adults. Offices are in Elgin, St. Charles and Streamwood.
