Hersey grad wins Marshall Scholarship

A former Arlington Heights resident and Hersey High School graduate has been awarded a 2016 Marshall Scholarship to pursue her graduate degree in England.

Moriah Mulroe, now a senior at University of Southern California, is one of 32 recipients of the award based on academic achievement, leadership potential and ability to serve as future ambassadors for U.K.-U.S. relations.

Mulroe is studying biochemistry and geological sciences. She will spend two years at Queen Mary University in London, studying interdisciplinary approaches to water resource issues and geochemistry.
