Burlington Central's Kurosky will play at state

Conditions at Fox Run in Elk Grove were not favorable for golf on Tuesday, so all four girls scheduled for a playoff to determine the final qualifier out of the Class AA Conant sectional will be allowed to play downstate this weekend.

That includes Burlington Central junior Josie Kurosky, who shot an 83 on Monday.

Kurosky, Glenbard West freshman Samantha Moody, Elk Grove senior Erin Walz and Lake Park freshman Nicole Hansen were all granted a state trip by the IHSA when it was determined the course was unplayable.

The girls state tournament is Friday and Saturday at Hickory Point in Decatur.

Boys at Lake Forest: The Class 3A Lake Forest sectional finished on Tuesday with Jacobs junior Justin Lenzini and Huntley senior Trent Craig each securing sports at this weekend's state tournament, which will be played at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington. Lenzini and Craig each shot rounds of 75, which was the cut.
