Miscella Real Estate makes donation to LivingWell's impact research project

Miscella Real Estate, a locally-owned, full service real estate boutique serving the greater Fox Valley area, recently donated $1,000 to LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva. The donation is dedicated in response to the community participation in its Breast Cancer Awareness event held during the month of October.

"We were touched by the number of people, both near and far, who left messages of hope and remembrance to loved ones on the branches of our "Miss Ella," in downtown Geneva," noted Patti Rambo, owner of Miscella. Adding that "too many of us have friends and loved ones" who are battling this disease, Miscella announced during breast cancer awareness month that a donation would be made for each card left on the tree. "While it was both heartbreaking and inspirational, it is an event that we look forward to supporting and promoting each year and we are honored to make this donation to our community," Rambo added.

The recipient of this year's donation is LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. The center in Geneva serves nearly 4,500 people per year, providing free programs to all who need support dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Nancy Vance, executive director of LivingWell, expressed that the donation will be dedicated to a new research project dedicated to measure delivery of supportive care across the cancer continuum. In particular, the goal is to deliver comprehensive care that results in a better quality of life, lower anxiety and depression levels, and improved treatment compliance for cancer patients.
