Cary-Grove rolls to FVC win

Cary-Grove 11, Grayslake Central 1: After going up 8-1 by the end of the second inning, the Trojans (5-2, 1-0) cruised to an easy victory at home in Fox Valley Conference action. Brianne Prank and Grace Pilz each blasted homers and picked up 3 RBI, with Sarah Purpura also homering. Amanda DeGroote threw 4 solid innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits and 4 strikeouts for the win.
