St. Viator 10, Glenbrook North 8: Senior Keegan Finn had 6 goals and sophomore Stephen Battin had a pair to help the Lions to a nonconference win. Frank Skorski stopped 13 shots for St .Viator (10-5).
Palatine 9, Rolling Meadows 1: Seniors Ryan Schlaiss (5 goals) and Jacob Baran (2) led the offensive effort as the host Pirates prevailed in an MSL crossover.
Jake Conrad stopped 11 shots for Palatine (3-8) and had a shutout going until the game's final moments, when Michael Dellorto found the net for Meadows (1-9).
Dylan White, T.J. May and Marcus Carter-Buckman also scored for Palatine, which generated a total of 30 steals, led by Schlaiss (4) and Conrad (6).
