Work day at Old School

A restoration workday will start at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Old School Forest Preserve, 28285 St. Mary's Road, Mettawa. Workdays are an opportunity to be outdoors, make friends who share a concern for the forest preserves and make a meaningful contribution. Volunteers should dress in long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring work gloves. Work includes brush clearing, seed collection, tree and shrub planting. All ages invited. No experience necessary.
