Larson, Grayslake Central rally past Woodstock
Amanda Larson scored 7 of her game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter, and Grayslake Central's girls basketball team rallied to beat host Woodstock 47-44 in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division action Friday night.
Lindsay Brust added 14 points for Grayslake Central (5-4, 3-0), which won its third game in a row. Quin Garbett scored 8 points, for the Rams, as they outscored the Blue Streaks 15-9 in the fourth quarter to erase a 35-32 deficit after three.
Larson sank a pair of 3-pointers, including one in the fourth.
Grayslake North 51, Woodstock North 46: Sidney Lovitsch poured in 11 of her game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter to lift the visiting Knights to the Fox Valley Fox win.
Lovitsch made 9 shots from the floor, including a 3-pointer, and went 5 of 6 from the foul line. Brandi Thibeaux added 13 points for Grayslake North (6-3, 2-2), which led just 36-34 after three quarters.
Zion-Benton 40, Lake Zurich 37: The visiting Bears lost another close game, despite Abby Pirron's 11 points in the North Suburban Lake contest.
Lake Zurich (3-6, 1-2) has suffered 3 losses by 6 points or fewer. Grace Kinsey and Nicole Gaggiano scored 9 and 8 points, respectively, for the Bears.
