Vernon Township mental health fair

Vernon Township and the National Alliance of Mental Illness Lake County will host a mental health fair, Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon at the Vernon Township Community Building, 2900 N. Main St., Buffalo Grove. The fair, which is free and open to the public, will feature several community organizations that provide mental health care services, or help individuals and families struggling with mental health issues. There will be approximately 20 community groups represented, including legal, social, and vocational organizations. One group, Soul Harbor Ranch, will bring their therapy ponies and service animals. Also, representatives from State Rep. Dan Didech and Congressman Brad Schneider will be present as well.
