Grand opening of Elk Grove pool Saturday

The grand opening of the refurbished Elk Grove Park District Pavilion Aquatics Center is scheduled for Saturday.

A ribbon cutting will be held at noon, followed by games in the new six-lane outdoor pool.

Other upgrades as part of the $9 million renovation project that have already been in use at the Pavilion include the eight-lane indoor lap pool with diving board, zero-depth lagoon pool with 72-foot water slide, warm water therapy pool, steam room and whirlpool.
