Celebrate 50 years of Beatles at BACOA Bash
It's been 50 years since the lads from Liverpool landed in the U.S. The Beatles tribute band, the Cavern Beat, will help the Barrington Area Council on Aging celebrate this golden era of the Fab Four's sound at the BACOA Bash, "Celebrating 50 Years of the Beatles."
The event will be from 6:30-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington.
The Chicago-based Cavern Beat recreates the hits and the energy of a Beatles concert and thrills listeners of all ages. Catch a preview of their sound at their website, www.cavernbeat.com.
Guests at the BACOA Bash will also have a chance to win the evening's main raffle item; The Wagon of Wine, two cases of specially selected wine.
This year's event offers early-bird pricing; tickets are $100 through Friday, Aug. 22; $115 after. Reservations are available from BACOA at (847) 381-5030; online reservations are available at www.bacoa.org.
Proceeds from the event benefit BACOA's services and programs for seniors and caregivers. These include Meals with Wheels, information and resources on aging-related issues, social and recreational programs for seniors, supportive services for family caregivers, support and education groups.
