The North Suburban Carvers demonstrated their work on Saturday at the Ela Area Public Library in Lake Zurich.

The group also sold handmade holiday ornaments, with proceeds benefiting the Shriners Hospital for Children.

The North Suburban Carvers was established in 1979 and now has about 150 members. According to the group's website, the organization promotes the art of woodcarving and sells pieces to support local children's charities.

The show continues from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the library, 275 Mohawk Trail.
