Palatine Library to Host IAEA Student Art Show 2014-2015 in May

The Palatine Public Library District invites you to see the touring 2014/2015 Illinois Art Education Association (IAEA) Student Show, from May 1 through May 29. This exhibit consists of forty pieces of award-winning art created from Illinois K-12 students. These outstanding pieces were selected from over 740 entries submitted for the annual show.

Students from schools in Palatine, and surrounding areas such as Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Lake Zurich, and many others have pieces in the show. Naruto Tsuji, a student at Lincoln School, and Juliana LaScola, a Quest Academy student were the Palatine award winners.

Last November, all forty students were presented with a certificate by Anne Becker, IAEA President, and Eryn Blaser, Student Art Show Co-Chair and a prize bag filled with art supplies.

Naruto's art teacher, Lee Ann Langsfeld contacted the Palatine Library about showcasing the artwork, and she coordinated the logistics of obtaining the exhibit.

"We are pleased to exhibit the creative work of these talented students for the community, and we congratulate them on their achievements," says Anthony Auston, Library Director.
