Gurnee library's new policy on children:

Warren-Newport Public Library District in Gurnee has a new policy regarding unattended children. At a meeting late last month, library board members agreed children age 10 and younger may not be left alone in the building. Officials said the decision was made to ensure the safety and comfort of the young children using the library. Under the new policy, a responsible person age 16 or older must remain with the child.
