South Elgin 14, Larkin 0: The Storm (4-1, 1-0) were able to power their way past Larkin on the road for their first win in the Upstate Eight Conference. Sophomore Alexa Rogalla powered the offense with 4 RBI while teammate Brittany Koss added a home run. Taylor Rees earned her second win of the year with 4 innings pitched and just 2 hits allowed. Freshman Emily Rojo took the loss for the Royals.

Bartlett 8, Geneva 3: Continuing their winning ways, the Hawks (7-2, 1-0) picked up a win at home in the Upstate Eight Conference. Dana Paul and Alex Morales had 2 hits and a double each. Alyssa Nowak added a triple and a pair of RBI. Pitcher Holly Pagan earned her fifth win of the year for Bartlett.

Elgin 15, East Aurora 0: Jessica Rago threw a no-hitter and the Maroons (2-5, 1-0) grabbed an Upstate Eight win on the road. Rago had 11 strikeouts and 2 walks in 5 innings of work. Anna Eckholm (4-for-4, 2B, HR, 4 RBI) and Kelly Bremer (2-for-2, HR, RBI) led Elgin's 20-hit attack.

Crystal Lake South 13, Harlem 1: Fueled by an 8-run fourth, the Gators powered past nonconference foe Harlem on the road. Sam McLean (3-for-4, 3 RS, 2 RBI) and Kim Woods (3-for-4, 4 RS, 4 RBI) each blasted a home run. Hailee Massie pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 hits, to pick up the win.

Jacobs 13, Woodstock 0: The offense came alive and two Golden Eagle (5-1) pitchers combined for a 1-hit shutout at home in a Fox Valley Conference crossover matchup. Kelsey Peters picked up the win on 4 innings of work with 1 hit allowed and 6 strikeouts. Alyssa Lach (2-for-4, 3B, 3 RBI) also struck out the side in her inning of work.

Metea Valley 9, Streamwood 5: The Sabres (0-2, 0-1) were unable to come back from 6 runs down and fell on the road in the Upstate Eight. Melissa Malcolm (2-for-2, 2B, 3 RBI) and Jessica Daley (2-for-4, HR, 2B, 2 RS, RBI) led Streamwood. Kaitlyn Hedger took the loss.

Westminster Christian 14, Christian Life 3: Scoring 9 runs in the fourth, the Warriors (1-2, 1-0) picked up a win in the Northeastern Athletic Conference. Rachel Fugiel (5 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 6 Ks) picked up the win. Becca Fugiel (2-for-2, 2B, 3 RBI) and Jackie Calabrese (3-for-3, 3B, 4 RBI) sparked the offense.

Huntley 10, Belvidere North 8: Down 2 runs going into the seventh, the Red Raiders (3-2) scored 5 to pull out the nonconference victory on the road. Brittany Koss (3 RBI, 3 BB) had the go ahead single while Angela Tribuzio added a home run and 3 RBI. Jenna Lawler picked up her first win with 2 innings of work with Kateri Conklin getting her first save.
